Current Events Productions, located in Covington, metro Atlanta, Georgia. Film and Video transfer: We transfer regular 8mm and super 8mm movie film to digital output formats such as DVD and MiniDV. We know how valuable your film is to you and pride ourselves on the quality of our services. We do not ship your film out for any step of the transfer process. First we hand clean your film and lubricate it reducing scratches and further preserving your film. Our transfer technique is unique in which each frame of the film is individually captured by computer and transferred to digital media with it be DVD or MiniDV. This process allows for a high quality image and virtually eliminates jitter. When you see the playback of the final product, you won't believe your eyes. Besides film transfers and conversions, we offer video transfer, and video editing. One of the biggest flaws of video tapes is that everytime you watch them you lose a small part of your memories due to the inherent weakness of tape medium. Even if you do not watch your video tapes, the quality degrades more and more with each day. In addition, Current Events Productions offers photos to video for tributes and memorial montages.

Read or listen to our audio testimonial from Rob Stadler with Star 94 radio. - "I inherited by family's old 8mm color movies.  I didn't want to transfer them using the old "videotape what the projector shows on the screen" method.  I wanted them scanned frame-by-frame into a computer.  And I didn't want to ship them off to another big city, fearing they'd be lost!  Enter Current Events.  Chris Haler not only is in Metro Atlanta, but he has all the latest equipment to digitally remaster all your home movies, 8mm and Super 8.  He made family scenes that I thought were lost magically reappear!
